Read, search, snooze and send your email inside Snoze, from Gmail or Outlook, privately, with optional AI triage.
Mail puts your email inbox in Snoze: read, search, organise, snooze and send without switching tabs. It works with Gmail (a Google account) and Outlook (a Microsoft account), and you can use several accounts side by side.
Mail is yours, not the workspace’s. Your inbox is the same in every workspace you open, and nobody else can see it: not your teammates, not workspace owners or admins, not workspace API keys. Leaving a workspace doesn’t touch your mail.
Mail is included with a paid seat. Because it’s personal, a paid seat in any one of your workspaces turns it on everywhere: you need to be an Owner, Admin, Creator or Editor of at least one workspace on a paid plan (Team and up). Operators and Viewers don’t have a paid seat. If you don’t have one yet, Mail says what would turn it on; if you manage billing, it offers the plans.
Turn Mail on
- Open Mail from the sidebar (or press G then M).
- Next to your account, click Use in Mail. Tick Sort new mail with AI triage first if you want it (see below).
- Your most recent mail appears within seconds. Snoze then brings in the last six months, newest first; the navigator shows how far it has got.
No account listed? Click Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft and sign in. This connects your own account only: it doesn’t need an admin and isn’t shared with the workspace. An account you already connected to a workspace shows up here too. Some organisations don’t let people approve apps themselves; Microsoft then asks an administrator to approve Snoze first.
Until Mail is on, the navigator shows where you are: a paid seat, an account, then Mail turned on.
You can also manage Mail from Settings → Connected accounts, next to each account.
Read and organise
The navigator lists Inbox, Starred, Snoozed, Sent, Drafts, Scheduled, All mail, Spam and Trash. After them come your Gmail Labels, or your Outlook Folders and Categories. With more than one account, All inboxes shows them together.
Changes you make in Snoze (archive, star, labels, read and unread) apply immediately and reach your mailbox within seconds. In Outlook, a star is a flag, archiving moves the message to the Archive folder, and adding a folder moves the message there. Changes made in Gmail or Outlook show up in Snoze as soon as the provider reports them.
Snooze hides a thread from your inbox until the time you pick (Later today, Tomorrow, This weekend, Next week or a custom time). It then comes back to your inbox, unread. Snooze is a Snoze feature: in Gmail or Outlook a snoozed thread looks archived.
Open in Gmail in a conversation’s toolbar opens that conversation in Gmail; Open in Outlook opens your Outlook mailbox.
Email images from senders are blocked until you click Show images, so a sender can’t tell when you opened their message.
Write and send
- Reply, Reply all and Forward open under the conversation. New message opens a composer in the corner that you can minimise.
- Press Ctrl+Enter (or ⌘+Enter) to send. You have 8 seconds to Undo; the message comes back to the composer.
- Use the clock button to send later: Later today, Tomorrow morning, Monday morning or a custom time. Pending sends are listed under Scheduled, where you can edit or cancel them.
- Drafts are saved to your mailbox’s Drafts as you type.
- Attachments can be up to 20 MB in total. Forwarding does not carry the original attachments.
If a send fails, it stays under Scheduled with the reason and a Retry button. Retrying never sends the same message twice.
AI triage
With AI triage on, Snoze reads each new conversation and adds:
- attention: whether it Needs reply, you’re Waiting on someone, it’s just to read, or it was sent automatically;
- a priority and a few tags (customer, finance, scheduling…);
- a short brief: what the thread is about, the key points, and anything you’re asked to do.
Needs reply and Waiting on appear in the navigator while triage is on. If the AI gets a thread wrong, change the attention or priority on the brief; your correction stands until a new message arrives.
Triage uses one workspace’s AI allowance: the one you turned it on from, shown next to the switch. From another workspace you can choose Use this workspace instead. When that allowance runs out, triage pauses and resumes when it resets; if you leave that workspace, triage turns off until you pick another. Turn it off any time from Mail or Settings → Connected accounts.

Turn Mail off
In Settings → Connected accounts, click Turn off Mail next to the account. This deletes Snoze’s copy of your mailbox; your mail in Gmail or Outlook is untouched. Disconnecting the account deletes it too.
When Mail says it’s paused
Mail comes with a paid seat (see the top of this page). If you no longer have one, for example because a workspace moved to the Free plan, your mail stays readable in Snoze but stops updating, and you can’t send from Snoze until you have a paid seat again in any of your workspaces. It picks up where it left off as soon as you do.
New, sent, starred and labelled Gmail emails can also start automations through the Google Workspace integration, whether Mail is on or off.
