# Canvas templates and stickers

_Start a canvas from a ready-made template, or decorate a board with stickers._

A blank canvas is the slowest way to start one. The **asset shelf** gives you a
library of ready templates and stickers to drop in.

## Templates and stickers

1. **Open the shelf**

   Open the templates shelf from the canvas. It has two tabs — **Templates**
   and **Stickers** — with categories across the top and a search box.

2. **Find something**

   Browse a category or search by name. Templates are pre-built layouts
   (flows, boards, mind maps); stickers are small graphics for decorating a
   board.

3. **Drop it in**

   Click an item to insert it, or drag it straight onto the canvas where you
   want it. It lands as normal editable elements — reshape, restyle, and
   connect them like anything you drew by hand.

> A template is a starting point, not a lock-in. Drop one, keep the parts that
> fit, and reshape the rest.
